This is the first day, and the time dedicated primarily to discussions and activities in separate working groups, where participants will tackle different aspects of migrations. Parallel to the working groups, the international meeting will be hosted in one of the venues available, starting at 12:00 with some food and refreshments.

12:00 – 13:00: arrival, reception and registration of participants at Centro La Strada.

From the centre people will be assigned to the different venues of the working groups.

 

14:00 –  beginning of the working groups’ activities according to the identified subject matters:

Group 1: Exclusion – working group meeting at Centro Sociale Anziani Pullino (in Via Pullino Giacinto, 95)

Group 2:  Income, integration & citizenship – working group meeting at La Villetta (via Francesco Passino, 26)

Group 3: Frontiers and regular migration channels – Working Group meeting at La Villetta

Group 4: Cohesion and participation: towards a new Europe – Working Group meeting at La Strada

19:00 – Closing of the day

 

21:00 –  Documentary  Paese nostro. Il film che avremmo voluto mostrarvi (part One) (Our Country. The movie we would have liked you to watch). A collective movie on stories of the welcoming Italy, in different parts of the country, Zalab, 2016. Produced by the Ministry of Interior and withheld.

 

SUNDAY  31st  March – Plenary meeting in Teatro Palladium  (Piazza Bartolomeo Romano, 8)

The second day is dedicated to a more general audience, for sharing the work done on the previous day and suggestions for work ahead. It also intends to stimulate the possibility of a common vision, through the interventions of national and international speakers in the room, towards weaving a common ground ahead of the EU elections in May

9:00 – 11:30 : Restitution from the four working groups and Q&A

11:45 – 12:00: Audio performance by film-maker Michelangelo Severgnini, Author of Exodus: Escape from Libya

12:00 – 13:30: roundtable chaired  by  Andrea Segre with:

  • Umberto Curi, philosoher
  • Khalifa Abo Kraisse, Libyan journalist and videomaker
  • Mimma D’Amico, CSOA Ex-Canapificio Caserta
  • Sara Prestianni, Mediterranea

14:30 – 16:00:  Plenary discussion
